Accountant 1 You will be part of the U.S. Accounting Shared Services group based in Chicago, IL at its Corporate office near O'Hare where you will maintain financial records and ensure that financial transactions are properly recorded.

Responsibilities:
Ensures the accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and reconciles subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledgerPrepares balance sheets, profit/loss statements, and other financial reportsMaintains Corporate fixed asset system including trackingAssist with the monthly intercompany reconciliations for all global divisionsAssist with month/quarter/year-end close (prepare journal entries, perform account reconciliations on various accounts, etc.)Assist with quarterly and year-end audit requests from external auditorsAssist with special projects and miscellaneous assignments as required, including financial and individual account analysisOther duties as assignedQualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance1+ years of experience in general accounting functionsExperience with publicly held, manufacturing facilities a plusSarbanes-Oxley (SOX) experience a plusProficient with Excel and WordA strong understanding of accounting fundamentals requiredAbility to lift and/or move up to 15 pounds
