Performs inspection activities, to assess conformance of products to the design as defined by engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, quality specifications/quality plansInterprets engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas and confers with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standardsInspects products, components, subassemblies, and/or systems to ensure conformance to requirementsIdentifies nonconforming conditions that present existing or impending defective conditions at the system or subsystem level of assemblyRecords variable data of inspections into ERPPrepares inspection plans and checklists for inspectionAssist with discrepancy notices for nonconforming material and red tag transactionsPerform material movement transactions after completion of inspection processWill assist in gauge calibration process for all basic hand tools and gaugesWill assist in the daily, weekly, monthly testing of product such as adhesion & salt spray product testingWill assist in conducting first article inspections of productConduct monthly process audits as assignedAdheres to all quality and safety standardsSupports other projects and performs duties as assignedMay specialize in receiving inspection, in-process inspection, process verification/auditing, final inspection and other areas as assigned

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

High School diploma or equivalent preferredMinimum of two-five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings and wiring schematicsExperience in the use of inspection equipment including but not limited to calipersKnowledge of manufacturing ISO 9001 Quality Management SystemGD&T proficiency is highly desirableGoal oriented and team focused to ensure completion of projects in a timely mannerStrong interpersonal and communication skills, including ability to work in a self-directed environmentPossess strong computer skills with demonstrated proficiency in standard business software package (e.g., Microsoft Office) Experience in ERP systems; SAP desired
