IT Support Specialist

to join our team!The candidate needs excellent problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills. That includes patience, a customer-friendly attitude and the ability to work in a team environment. He/she also needs to be able to thrive in a very fast-paced environment.What You'll DoYou will be a critical part of a service desk that Standex is in the process of building. IT Support Specialists are the first line of support for our users and will handle all incoming tickets for N. America. The IT Support Specialist will also assist with handling other tickets globally based on priority and availability.Taking and handling telephone or ticket-based requests.Troubleshooting and managing hardware, software or network problemsRecognizing and escalating more difficult problems to business unit IT teams.Learning new processes and troubleshooting techniques from the IT team to expand the scope of the service desk capability.Researching and resolving the more difficult and complex problems as time allows.Reviewing tickets and metrics daily with the IT Director and with business unit IT teams on a periodic basis.Mentoring other help desk personnel on hardware and software problem analysis and resolution based on skillsetWhat You'll BringMust be a U.S. CitizenBachelor or Associates Degree in Computer Science or other similar field.What We ValueExperience with Windows 11/10 and Office365 administration and troubleshooting.Knowledge of IT security controls associated with NIST 800-53 or similar framework.Demonstrated interpersonal and teamwork abilities. Customer service oriented.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Problem analysis and resolution abilities.
