This position contributes to the mission of the Lakewood Ranch Medical Center and the goals of the department by obtaining and/or assisting in the processing of laboratory specimens to facilitate the production of quality results.

General Responsibilities:

Performs LIS / computer operations and clerical functions as needed.Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills, and customer service skills requiredOther duties as assigned.Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.Graduate of an accredited Phlebotomy certificate program preferred.At least 3 months of active phlebotomy experience is preferred.The applicant must possess current skills in the required areas so that the orientation period is not a training period, but strictly an orientation to our facility and its instrumentation, policies, and procedures.Recent graduates of phlebotomy certificate programs may be considered in lieu of experience.No license is required.
