Position Summary:To identify, minimize, and mitigate areas of risk and loss while improving safety andproviding support, training, and security to the organization which will increase donorvalue and contribution that can go towards the mission. Ability to recognize unsafeworking environments to maintain a safe shopping and working environment. Proactivelycontrolling workplace risks by integrating safety into each aspect of the organization is"part of the way we do business here". Provide ongoing execution, training, and supportof AP policies and procedures while establishing strong partnerships with their assignedleadership, store management, Human Resources, and local law enforcementcommunity, representing GWH in a professional manner that reflects the values andstandards of the organization's mission and goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:1. Safety:•Assist and conducts safety and loss prevention training including both new hire onboarding

as well as ongoing training.•Acts as GWH representative to fire and safety representatives and resolves recommendations.•Investigates accidents, studies root-cause analysis, implement preventive measures, and

reviews overall ROI of safe practices.•Assist activities of the safety steering team and acts as support lead in the safety steering committee.•Ensures safety audits and inspections are performed routinely and opportunities are communicated

and addressed.

2. Loss Prevention:•Awareness & Prevention:i. Communicates, trains, and educates on AP programs and strategies.Makes necessary adjustments when applicable to the needs of the business.ii. Create, train, and assess AP merchandise protection strategies to determine their effectiveness

and make necessary changes when applicable to the needs of the business.• Audits & Inspectioni. Ensure AP strategies and training are adhered to through audits and inspections.ii. Communicates findings to respective leadership, while partnering with compliance and reviews

audit/inspection tools to identify failure points and devise a process to minimize future risks.

•Facility Protection:i. Ensure key control processes are adhered to.ii. Assist in issuing, maintaining, and auditing alarm systems and codes.iii. Monitor overnight donor door theft.•

Investigations & Case Management:i. Ensures AP field investigations follow GWH outlines from case initiation to closure.ii. Ensures cases are detailed and closed in a timely manner.iii. Maintains confidentiality of and uses discretion in dealing with sensitive or controversial issues

and information.•

Partnership:i. Performs all functions in close collaboration with HR, Internal Audit, DGR, and departmental Leadership.ii. Respond and assist in all critical incidents and emergency response situations including communication,

problem-solving, and remediation.iii. Partners with operational leadership and review AP incident trends to identify failure points and devise

a process to minimize future risks.•

Training:i. Conducts new hire orientation as it relates to AP and supports Safety training as assigned.ii. Attends and participates in weekly, monthly, and quarterly team meetings at corporate and store level.iii. Supports Management by providing feedback and coaching while visiting locations.iv. Trains staff in established emergency procedures and implements accident and fire prevention procedures.v. Reviews and supports in the training of any Risk Management related SOPs and tools as assigned.

3. Must be able to work occasional after-hours and weekends. Also, be available for on-call support as needed.

4. Demonstrates GWH's Core Values in all actions. Ensures adherence to Guiding Principles across all

donated goods operations.

5. Participates in mandatory training as assigned.

6. Performs other duties as assigned.

Key Performance Indicators:•All cases must be 90% closed. Maintain a caseload of 4 active cases.•CCTV system is maintained for clarity and function (95%).•Site and systems assessment audits are completed monthly & non-compliance issues are resolved in a

timely manner.•Overall audit score improvement of 90% for assigned territory.•Increase IAT vs previous year.•Total donor value vs Budget.•Training/Certification completion and compliance.•The overall increase of 25% for reporting issues vs the previous year within assigned territory.•Sales growth vs previous year.

Minimum Qualifications:•Bachelor's degree or equivalent in work experience is preferred.•3-5 years: Retail Asset Protection or Loss Prevention experience is preferred.•LPQ/LPC certification preferred.•CCTV, Alarm maintenance and monitoring is preferred.•Access Control (electronic key and lock systems) is preferred.•Knowledge of fleet safety, OSHA, and DOT law.•Expertise in material handling accident prevention.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment:The ability to stand, twist, bend, squat, reach, kneel, push, and pull. Able to lift, up to, 40 lbs.An indoor work environment with occasional exposure to outside temperatures. The noiselevel in the normal work environment is, usually, moderate.
