Telecommunications Analyst

Title: Telecom Data AnalystDuration: 9+ MonthsWork Location: Beaverton, ORKey Responsibilities:The Telecom Data Analyst is responsible for managing telecom expenses, analyzing telecom data, and maintaining accurate inventory records. This role will work closely with telecom providers and carriers, engaging with them on matters related to billing and invoicing, activating, and disconnecting services, and supporting automation integrations. The ideal candidate will have experience with IT Asset Management (ITAM), telecom invoicing, and a strong understanding of industry standards and practices.Telecom Billing & Invoicing:o Engage with telecom providers and carriers to review and reconcile invoices for accuracy.o Ensure timely processing of telecom invoices and resolve billing discrepancies.o Validate and approve telecom invoices, ensuring alignment with contracted rates and usage.Telecom Services Management:o Coordinate with providers to activate new services and disconnect unused or outdated services.o Maintain an up-to-date inventory of telecom assets, including voice lines, data circuits, and other telecom services.o Conduct audits of telecom services to validate active circuits and eliminate unnecessary costs.Automation & Integration:o Collaborate with telecom providers and internal teams to integrate automated processes for billing and inventory management.o Work with IT teams to develop and maintain APIs for billing and inventory synchronization with internal systems.IT Asset Management (ITAM):o Oversee the lifecycle of telecom assets, including procurement, deployment, management, and disposal.o Maintain accurate records of telecom assets, ensuring compliance with ITAM standards.Data Analysis & Reporting:o Analyze telecom usage data to identify trends, anomalies, and cost-saving opportunities.o Generate and present reports on telecom expenses, usage, and cost optimization strategies.Qualifications:Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field.3+ years of experience in telecom expense management or telecom-related roles.Familiarity with IT Asset Management (ITAM) processes and best practices.Strong knowledge of telecom services, including voice lines, data circuits, and internet services.Experience with telecom billing and invoicing.Proficiency in telecom management platforms (TEM), such as Asignet, Tangoe, or similar.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Knowledge of API integrations and telecom provider systems is a plus.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with automation processes related to telecom inventory and billing.Familiarity with telecom providers such as AT&T, Verizon, Lumen, and others.Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.Experience with Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.
