Position Summary:
THE FOCUS IS YOU:We are looking to add an Audit Senior Staff Accountant to help lead and guide our clients, in addition to support our internal leaders with the on-going growth in our NYC office.As an Audit Senior Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for performing the necessary procedures involved in planning and executing attestation engagements for clients in accordance with the applicable accounting standards. The Audit Senior Staff Accountant serves to work closely with clients and internal leaders, to ensure high-quality work is conducted and delivered to our clients, while given the opportunity to experience more complex areas of engagements and work on the development of supervisory skills necessary to prepare for the Senior level.WHAT YOU WILL DORegular duties include (but are not limited to):Perform and assist with audits, reviews and compilations for clients in various industriesPrepare and analyze financial statements and evaluate internal controlsAssist with the coordination of the day-to-day duties of planning, fieldwork and wrap-upDeep understanding of accounting and reporting standardsDevelop reasonable time budgets and coordinate audit requests to meet time constraints and client deadlinesInteract with clients to help ensure the information flow from the client to the audit team is efficientCommunicate with Client, Management, and Managing Director on work status and client issues that ariseWHAT WE ARE LOOKING FORExperience2-3 years in relevant positionPublic accounting or other professional services environment preferredEducationMinimum Bachelors degree or equivalent experienceBachelors in Accounting (for Audit or Tax)Masters degree or 150 credits completed, in designated statesLicense / CertificationActively working toward passing the CPA Exam, or relevant certification for respective discipline as soon as possible, if certification is not already attainedMust maintain required CPE credits annuallyLegal / ComplianceMust complete acknowledgement of Independence Guidelines and Ethical Standards documentGovernmental engagements require ability to obtain a security clearance from the United States governmentWHO WE AREREADY TO DELIVERWe take pride in our ability to combine local knowledge with national, regional, and international skills to provide you and your organization with the best resources possible.
