AMD Alternatives is the private side of AMD. It invests in a wide range of global asset classes including: Private Credit, Real Estate, Corporate Private Equity, Growth Equity and Infrastructure worldwide. The AMD Alternatives Strategists collaborate with investing and finance professionals to create quantitative computer models and web applications to support all aspects of the investing and lending life cycle. We create quantitative models and develop software applications to help structure, value, hedge, and risk manage the investments in our portfolios. Members hold advanced degrees in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics and Physics. The team proactively collaborates with colleagues globally to ensure that the best solutions are implemented.The ACMS Strategists are part of the AMD Alternatives Strategists group and are focused on the Alternatives Capital Markets and Strategy (ACMS) team needs. ACMS team is accountable for driving institutional capital markets, capital raising, and client strategy for alternative investments throughout Goldman Sachs. As a strategist on the team you will be focused on enhancing how we serve our investing clients, by helping design alternative investment products as well as provide quantitative analytics and market insights.RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:R

ILITIESWe seeking individuals who have strong quantitative and coding skills and a passion for finance. As a Quantitative Financial Engineer in AMD Alternatives, you will have the opportunity to work on many different projects including:Advise on fund structure and strategy to maximize profits for our investors and the FirmTackle urgent bespoke investor requests and provide quantitative analyticsBenchmark fund performance and analyze track recordBuild systems to streamline investor reports and communications with internal stakeholdersBasic QualificationsBachelors or Masters degree in engineering, computer science, math, physics, or other related fieldExcellent programming and software design skills in object-orientated programming languages [e.g. Java / Python / C++ / Etc.] and experience with database technologiesStrong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to present complex technical concepts to a multitude of technical and non-technical audiencesPro-active attitude to problem solving, personal sense of ownership and responsibility, collaborative team-player, and a strong growth mindsetAbility to multitask across many parallel short-term and long-term projects in a fast moving and high pressure environmentAbility to work effectively as part of a global teamPreferred Qualifications:Computer Science: Experience building web-based applications or large-scale distributed systems, implementing fundamental algorithms, and working in different programming languages and databasesFinance: Understand market dynamics and conventions, and of different products behaviors and specifications. Although the work performed by our team supports financial products, applicants are not required to have specific experience or knowledge in finance to apply.
