Overview:
Abile Group has an exciting and challenging opportunity for a Audio Visual Systems Engineer on a 10 year contract providing User Facing and Data Center Services supporting an Intelligence Community customer. All the personnel on the team will work together to support innovative design, engineering, procurement, implementation, operations, sustainment and disposal of user facing and data center information technology (IT) services on multiple networks and security domains, at multiple locations worldwide, to support the IC mission.The right candidate will possess the below skills and qualifications and be ready to handle all responsibilities independently and professionally.Responsibilities:Designs and implements AV systems including video conferencing, digital signage, and presentation systemsInstalls, configures, and maintains AV equipment such as projectors, displays, sound systems, and control systemsTroubleshoots and resolves complex AV issues in a timely mannerManages AV network infrastructure and ensure integration with existing IT systemsPlans and executes AV system upgrades and migrationsProvides training to end-users on AV equipment operation and best practicesDevelops and maintains documentation for AV system configurations and processesCollaborates with IT teams to ensure AV systems align with overall technology strategyManages inventory of AV equipment and coordinate with vendors for procurement and maintenanceEnsures AV systems comply with security protocols and accessibility standardsStays current with emerging AV technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems
Qualifications:Clearance Required:
TS/SCI with eligibility to obtain CI PolyDegree and Years of Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Audio Visual Technology, Electrical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience3+ years of experience in AV systems design, installation, and maintenanceRequired Certifications:Security+ certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hireRequired Skills:Experience with AV network protocols and IP-based AV systemsProficiency in AV system design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Visio)Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve complex AV issuesAbility to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environmentWillingness to provide occasional after-hours support for critical AV systemsDesired Skills:CTS (Certified Technology Specialist) certificationExperience with Crestron, Extron, or AMX control systemsKnowledge of acoustics and audio system designFamiliarity with HDCP, EDID, and other video standardsExperience with digital signal processors (DSPs) and audio networking protocolsUnderstanding of AV over IP technologiesFamiliarity with AV security best practices and compliance requirementsPhysical Requirements:Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 poundsComfort with working at heights (e.g., on ladders or lifts) for equipment installation
