IU Health Bloomington Hospital Endoscopy unit has 5 endoscopy suites. The RNs in this role will service outpatient and inpatient needs for gastroenterology and pulmonology procedures. Our ideal candidate has previous experience working in a hospital setting with a background in procedural areas. This is a fast-paced environment that requires attention to detail and time management skills. There is a 30-minute response time for this role, and minimal on-call required.Nursing skills gained on this unit: Obtain SGNA and Trauma certifications Become a Certified Perianesthesia nurse Develop phenomenal procedural skills Understand the world of surgical services from Pre/Post, OR room, Endo, PACU, and more Refine time management skillsUnit Successes/Designations: Innovation procedures including 2 new procedures in 2023 Began Fibroscan Testing Began ION Robotic BronchoscopyUnit Culture Highlights: 1-Daisy Award Winner RN on team, with hopes to gain more! Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license. Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program. Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA. Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.Why Join IU Health?
