Position Profile

Weaver's Accounting Advisory Services practice is expanding! With 70 years of experience providing accounting and finance support and guidance to our clients, our team has the knowledge and experience to assist clients of all sizes in various industries.

We are seeking a Manager to provide general accounting and financial advisory services to our clients. That includes outsourced accounting, monthly financial reporting, U.S. GAAP financial statements, and technical accounting. The ideal candidate will enjoy interacting with client personnel at all levels. This person will have proven technical accounting and financial reporting skills to deliver results with Weaver's high standard of client service.

To be successful in this role, the following qualifications are

required:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field5-7 years of experience in private or public accountingCPA requiredStrong analytical ability and critical thinking skillsAdvanced proficiency in Excel and WordFamiliarity with QuickBooks Online, Xero, Sage Intacct, and other accounting ERP systemsSuperior verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work both independently and as part of a teamAdditionally, the following are responsibilities of the role:

Manage the engagement and workflow of all client deliverables for multiple clients and engagements to minimize risk and surprises, optimize engagement economics, satisfy service objectives, and meet internal and external deadlinesIdentify, research and resolve accounting technical issues impacting the engagementPrepare and review engagement deliverables to ensure that firm and professional standards are metEffectively delegate tasks to facilitate professional development and efficient utilization of firm resourcesContinually build on technical expertise in accounting and financial reporting by attending continuing professional education courses or utilizing other training resourcesConduct or review research of complex or new accounting and financial reporting issues and prepare memorandums to support solutionsKeep the partner informed about client updates, engagement status, budget adherence, and technical issuesTake an increased role in preparing and delivering proposals and fee estimatesDevelop staff by providing training and formal performance feedbackPerform general ledger accounting and closing of the booksConduct investigation on variancesPrepare and review work papers and financial statementsConduct research on accounting transactions and summarize findingsWrite management reportsOther advisory projects as assigned by the firm's PartnersTravel to client sites as needed

Annual Base Pay Range for California: $115,000 to $135,000 Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
