We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant with Medication Aide license to join our team at our walk-in clinic located near 180th and Pacific. The position requires availability Monday through Friday from 11:30 AM to 8:00 PM, and every other Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.This role is essential in supporting the clinical team and delivering a high standard of care in a busy walk-in clinic environment. We each contribute to something bigger than ourselves while promoting integrity, belonging, and collaboration.JOB SUMMARY:The Nursing Assistant position is responsible for supporting patients care under the direct supervision of a health care provider, along with helping the management of patient throughput.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Work with members of the health care team to coordinate patient care services, including preparation of patients for examination or treatment, gathering of information such as reason for visit, vital signs, and related patient information. Ensure accurate documentation is maintained, relay instructions to patients, and help ensure timely patient flow. Perform vital signs, height, weight, and screening procedures. Document findings in the electronic medical record. Collect and/or assist providers in collection of specimens, as required, using appropriate protocols. Complete requisitions, label and route specimens according to clinic protocol. Adhere to infection control standards including, but not limited to, hand hygiene, use of PPE, isolation of patient with known infectious disease, and equipment disinfection/sterilization. Assist with special procedures and examinations following appropriate protocols such as infection control, universal protocol, and patient identification. Maintain orderliness and cleanliness of examination rooms; stock assigned rooms/cupboards and ensure par levels of supplies are maintained. Check and complete required logs and equipment including refrigerator logs. Assist with communication to patients, both in person and via phone, to gather data.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: Knowledge of medical terminology. Knowledge of HIPAA privacy rules. Skill in communicating in a professional manner, both verbally and in writing. Skill in planning, organizing, and time management. Skill in using a computer and a variety of software, including Electronic Health Records (EHR) software, Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook. Skill in managing multiple priorities and problem solving. Ability to work effectively under pressure to meet established goals and objectives. Ability to maintain high levels of professional and personal integrity. Ability to convey professional demeanor and sound judgment in dealing with patients' care, protection of patient privacy, and confidentiality. Ability to work in a team environment. Ability to act as a good representative of the company.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:High School Diploma required. Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program required. A minimum of one (1) year of experience as a CNA, experienced utilization of Electronic Health Records (EHR), and experience in a clinical setting preferred.WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:This role operates in a healthcare setting. This position requires frequent standing, walking, and computer work. This position allows employee to moderately vary physical position or activity for comfort.Must be able to: Stand 75% or longer of workday. Walk 15% or longer of workday. Sit 10% of an workday. Requires ability to lift and maneuver up to 35 pounds occasionally. Requires employee to: bend, squat, kneel, and reach above shoulder level occasionally and twist occasionally. Requires repetitive use of hands for: simple grasping, fine manipulation, computer use.
