Position Overview
The Senior Accountant will share the responsibility of financial strategy, ensuring health and sustainability for day-to-day fiscal operations for Select Milk, LLC. Reporting to the Corporate Controller, the Senior Accountant will be responsible for preparing financial statements, general ledger account review, and serve as an expert for billing, accounting, and reporting. The Senior Accountant will seek to establish and monitor key performance areas while locating improvement opportunities.
Primary Responsibilities
Participate in financial statement preparation and subsidiary ledger support systems to insure accurate and timely reporting.Provide advisement and timely, accurate analysis of financial reports and accounting issues.Provide recommendations and support for a system of internal controls.Review and allocate approved charges and fees via intercompany billings among entities for items such as software support and maintenance, management fees, accounting services, liability insurance and analytical services.Serve as the subject matter expert for all billing, collections, and producer payments.Review all accounting processes and procedures to develop more effective, efficient, and accurate methods of managing financial functions.Participate in financial budgeting and forecasting.Participate in daily cash management.Seek advisement when warranted from management, legal, accounting, or financial advisors.Responsible for accounting and consolidated financial reporting for non-Coop entities.Monitor changes in non-Coop entity ownership (administrated by 3rd party service provider).Ownership of lease accounting for all assigned entities.Oversee treasury management for all assigned entities.Responsible for all tax filings and financial audits.Other job-related duties as assigned.Competencies & Characteristics Required

Must be able to communicate clearly and professionally, both written and orally.Must possess strong organizational, planning, troubleshooting, and multi-tasking skills.Must be able to effectively gather, interpret and analyze information, and present findings in a resourceful manner.Must adhere to the ethical standards as established by the company and management team.Must manage confidential information appropriately.Must be energetic and focused on continuous improvement.Must observe deadlines and be conscientious regarding the quality of work.Must be accurate and thorough, and able to monitor work for quality.Required Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in accounting or finance required.5+ years of accounting or similar experience required.Accounting system implementation experience preferred.SAP software experience or other business software of similar complexity required.Demonstrated knowledge and application of Microsoft Office, proficient experience with Excel.Minimum Requirements
Must successfully complete a credit and background check.Must have proof of legal authorization to work in USA.Physical Requirements
May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time and demonstrate manual dexterity while performing job duties.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to talk, see, and hear; use hands to handle objects, and reach with hands and arms.Must be able to concentrate for extended periods of time, paying attention to detail.Requires constant operation of standard office machines, including computer.Requires frequent ability to move freely about the office building.Environment
Environment involved is regularly inside the office.The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
