I'm partnered with the CFO at a $500M, leading manufacturer & supplier of specialty sorbent products located in Downtown Chicago, IL. They service a wide variety of industries, ranging from pet care & animal health/nutrition to agricultural ingredients. This client is a market leader in their space and is now looking to bring another Accountant to their Team!
Job Description
Responsibilities:
Assist with month-end close, including the completion of journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.Manage the processing and payment of approved vendor bills.Prepare financial statements in accordance with GAAP.Collaborate with the plant/operation teams for pricing and vendor updates.Identify process improvements and procedures.Assist with weekly reporting activities to send out to each plant.Provide accounting support when needed.Conduct ad hoc projects.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
