Position Purpose

The Manager of Accounting will supervise and assist with general ledger accounting and month-end close in a fast-paced corporate environment.

Responsibilities:Manage the month-end close process for multiple corporate entitiesPerform complex analysis for monthly and non-routine transactions and account reconciliationsPrepare various regulatory reporting as required for the firm's Broker DealerReview overall process, systems and outputs related to reporting to ensure design and implementation results are consistent, accurate, and contain complete financial and operational informationIdentify and implement improvement initiatives to enhance and automate accounting and reporting processesAssist with other accounting and financial reporting related projects as neededProvide support to external auditors for year-end audits and tax preparationResearch technical financial reporting matters and draft memos and policies to comply with applicable standards

Additionally:Position may require after-hours commitment as need arises for time-sensitive requests and to meet deadlinesSupervisory Responsibilities:

Review work performed by senior associates and accountantsEducation/Experience Requirements:

Bachelors' degree in Accounting or related fieldExperience as a Broker-Dealer FINOP preferredSeries 28 or willing to test within 3 months of hireCPA certification preferred8+ years overall experience; experience in private equity/real estate or public accounting preferredExtensive knowledge of U.S. GAAPTechnical Skills Requirements:

Proficient in Microsoft OfficeExtensive knowledge of Microsoft ExcelExperience in Yardi, MRI, J. D. Edwards or comparable softwareExperience with data warehouse and BI tools (e.g. Tableau/PowerBI) preferredFamiliarity with Nexus Payables or comparable software preferredCommunication Skills Requirements:

Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex agreementsAbility to communicate effectively, both written and verbalAbility to analyze and present large amounts of information in a manner that is clear, concise, and actionableDemonstrated ability to form effective business relationships with team members, other CIM employees and other key contactsReasoning Skills Requirements:
