Pay Range:
$17.00 - $22.00 per hour any experience.
Schedule: Full-Time Monday - Friday 4:30am - 12:30am including every-other weekend
Monday - Friday12:00pm - 8:00pm including every-other weekend
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Drives vehicle to client facilities, typically nursing homes, as directed by company dispatcherUnloads phlebotomy supplies and takes to patient's bedside to collect samples ordered by physicianAccurately identifies patient before collecting specimen(s)Accurately collects, labels, processes, and delivers specimens obtained from patientsReloads equipment and all necessary specimens to vehicle for prompt deliveryRegularly communicates with dispatcher to report status and locationStrict adherence to Universal Precautions in controlling blood-borne pathogens and infectious disease exposuresMaintain required certifications, health requirements, and operational requirementsREQUIRED SKILLS:
Practices excellent communication and interaction skills specific to the population served, including the pediatric and geriatric communitiesTreats customers and patients with respect, dignity, and discretion; acknowledging residents' rights and patients' right to refuseMust have a current, valid State phlebotomy license, if applicableMust have a current, valid State Driver's license; car insurance; good driving record; possess a vehicle in good working condition suitable to meet daily driving requirementsProficient in venipuncture and skin puncture using both vacutainer and syringe techniquesKnowledge of laboratory operationsMaintains sterile, sanitary conditions to prevent contaminationPHYSICAL DEMANDS:
