Overview:

Seeking dynamic outpatient orthopedic physical therapist to provide orthopedic PT services to adolescent through adult clientele with the M Health Fairview Rehab Services Flexible Workforce (FWF) team! The FWF team provides staffing coverage across multiple outpatient orthopedic therapy clinics in the greater Twin Cities metro area. Preferred candidate will have Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT) training. Consisting of Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy as well as Audiology and Cardiac & Pulmonary Rehab, our therapists collaborate with colleagues in all medical settings and offer dozens of specialty programs.

Captures and applies pertinent data, performs examination, and resolves treatment diagnosisDevelops an individualized plan of care through coordinationAnalyzes data to identify needs and potential risks, settles prognosis for recovery, and establishes individualized goalsImplements and modifies care plan based on reassessment and patient responseCoordinates care and communicates effectively with interdisciplinary team for all aspects care & establishes appropriate discharge planPartners care team to provide skilled interventionImplements and alters treatment to reflect change in patient status and response to treatmentAssesses patient and/or caregiver learning needs and provides appropriate educationDocumentation/BillingUses acceptable medical terminology and follows professional practice standards.Completes documentation in a timely manner per department standardsStays in sync with department billing standardsProfessional ExpectationsPrioritizes tasks and patient care for effective time management.Understands and follows professional licensure/certification requirementsAdvises team members and/or supervises students as designatedPursues professional development to support clinical standard processesQuality ImprovementCrafting and implementing improvements, and participates in and supports entity/system initiativesQualifications:RequiredPhysical Therapy registration/licensure in the state of Minnesota or temporary license in MNCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS) certificationPreferredDoctorate degree in Physical Therapy1+ year of Physical Therapy practice
