Summary

The experienced CNC Mill Programmer will have advance programming knowledge for CNC Mills (4 & 5 axis) machines using Mastercam. The programmer will also have advance knowledge of machining tools including cutters and inserts. He / She must have ability to utilize setup reduction techniques and optimal machining / personal usage. The programmer will need a strong verbal and written communication skills is required for this position.

Position Duties

Essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to:Create CNC programs utilizing the latest MasterCam software.Tests, modifies and enhances set up procedures.Maintains and preserves NC code and CAM libraries.Develops, prepares, optimizes, and maintains Set-up and operation documents.Records and maintains the established processes to ensure only authorized and documented changes are made.Studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, specifications or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operations and set up requirements.Design and select work holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and material size needed when creating program.Use of Renishaw probing cycles in CNC program.Supports prove out process with Machinist and inspection to meet conformance.Continuous improvement to new and existing processes.Able to design fixtures if neededCompletes task on timeHave vision to drive DFM and part/tooling standardizationUnderstands and live by company's ethics and business conduct policiesOther duties as assignedQualifications

Education & Experience:

CNC multi axis (5 axis) Mill programming using MasterCam software: 7 years (Required)Solid Modeling: 3 years (Required)Use of SolidWorks and Cimco editor is a plusAble to trouble shoot programming errors and make CNC's run more efficientlyKnowledge of Horizontal and Vertical Mills Multi axis machinesStrong problem-solving skillsAttention to detailAbility to read blueprints and advance GD&T knowledgeGood machining practice and knowledge of speeds and feeds.Cutting technique for stainless steel, aluminum, and other materials requiredExperience with working with castings is a plusMust have knowledge of CNC G-codes and M-codes.Knowledge of Renishaw probing useKnowledge of HAAS and Fanuc controlGeneral computer skills, including Microsoft officeStrong Shop Math; analytic geometry, algebra and trigonometryHigh school diploma or GEDPhysical Demands

Pay Range: $40.00- $65.00 hourly.
