We are looking for a highly driven Financial Analyst expert who is primarily in charge of all business forecasting. A strong candidate combines a strong analytical mindset with technical ability and excellent people skills. The role will be a critical member of the Accounting and Finance team, reporting to the Vice President of Finance. As Able continues to service the air freight market for perishable and pharma goods, this position supports the analysis in decision-making in all matters operational, financial, and strategic.
Requirements
Assist in preparing the monthly financial statements including performing variance analysis vs. prior year and budgetAnalyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvementPartnering with business leaders to review monthly financials and weekly KPIsLead the annual budget process and maintain the company financial modelAssist in pricing new business opportunities and performing other ad hoc analyses to support various business decisionsSupport the preparation of the quarterly and monthly presentations for the Board and our InvestorsMust demonstrate the highest level of ethical behavior and compliance capability while in the workplace and/or performing duties on behalf of Able FreightAlign with Able Freight's stated Mission, Vision and Values, following and while enforcing standard policies as indicated in the Employee HandbookAll other work-related duties as assigned by the Vice President of FinanceQUALIFICATIONS
2+ years of financial planning & analysis experience is preferredPassion and excitement for numbers and creative problem solvingKnowledge of accounting principles and financial statement analysisThree statement financial modelingAbility to analyze large data sets and draw conclusions from sometimes messy dataAdvanced Excel skills (pivot tables, v/x lookup formulas, charts and graphs)Experiencing building BI dashboards and the ability to navigate/retrieve information from a relational databaseAbility to work independently; thrive in fast paced environment, handle multiple tasks, and prioritize responsibilitiesExperience working for a Private Equity backed businessStrong attention to detail and highly organizedCurious learner with strong ethic of continuous improvementBilingual (Spanish) is a plusAdvanced level computer skills in MS Office (e.g., Word, Outlook)Ability to work independently; thrive in fast paced environment, handle multiple tasks, and prioritize responsibilitiesStrong attention to detail and highly organizedExcellent oral and written communication skillsEDUCATION
A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or in a relevant technical subjectPREFERRED SKILLS
Experience in the freight forwarding, airline, or logistics industry

Salary Description
$80,000- 135,000 annually
