Position Overview:

The Analyst/Sr. Analyst, IT Lab Systems Role, reporting to the IT Application & Systems Engineer - Technical Operations, will have a key role in implementing and supporting hardware and software solutions supporting QC labs and Manufacturing suites in a rapidly growing organization. This role will directly impact Beam's ability to develop our therapies by helping to support our gene therapy manufacturing facility in North Carolina.

The role will be a key IT point of contact for supporting existing and new QC and manufacturing equipment and end user desktop hardware. The Lab IT Systems Analyst will work in collaboration with various internal Beam IT team members and external vendors.

Responsibilities:Provide IT administration for QC instruments and Manufacturing equipment at the Beam NC site.Install, configure, and maintain laboratory-based computer systems in the QC lab and Manufacturing suites, adhering to GxP Validation and Quality standards.Provide end-user support for laboratory workstations including troubleshooting, diagnosis, and resolution.Partner with QC and Manufacturing analysts and third-party vendors to establish priorities and provide technical support of laboratory software and attached workstations.Participate in and may serve as technical lead in support of laboratory computing projects. This includes issue resolution and support for the setup of new systems, including interaction with instrument vendors.Maintain lab workstation inventory, backups, patching, upgrades, and OS builds.Document processes and procedures for technical and end user knowledgebase.Escalation contact for Tier 1 and 2 issues and will identify solutions to resolve technical support problems and enter requests into our Help Desk System.Implement, maintain, and administer end user computer devices and related computing environments including systems software, applications software, hardware, and configurations.Implement new hire deployments and hardware refresh deployments.Provide conference room and on-site meeting support as needed.Assist with IT support of on-premise and cloud-based software applications as needed.Provide on-call support, as required, for IT systems issues when manufacturing operations are taking place. Must be able to work on site full time, with flexibility to adjust hours periodically to align with manufacturing operations.Qualifications:

Bachelor's or technical institute degree with 2+ years of relevant experience required.The ideal candidate will have first-hand experience implementing solutions to support manufacturing operations and QC labs in the biotech and/or pharmaceutical industry and have a good understanding of relevant business processes.Ability to adapt to a quickly changing, dynamic environment.Experience gowning in Grade B, C, or D clean room environments is a plus.Ability to effectively support a diverse set of applications and technologies.Experience working in a GxP environment and a thorough understanding of system validation.Experience with Microsoft Active Directory user & group management.A solid understanding of IT infrastructure (networking, telephony, Macs, PCs, mobile devices).Experience with Linux and Microsoft server OS management and configuration.Understanding of infrastructure/network components to support critical systems, including virtualization (VMWare, Hyper V), storage technologies, and backup/recovery solutions.Experience with barcode scanners and Zebra printers is a plus.Excellent written and oral communications skills.This position is an on-site role located in Durham, NC.
