Position Description

Analysts support the development of quality deliverables that result in a high degree of project leader and client satisfaction. They provide logistical support and conduct research and analysis (ex.: client interviews and analysis). Analysts hold primary responsibility for knowledge capture and assist in the design and facilitation of external and internal meetings, developing and maintaining general institutional knowledge of clients, their culture, organization, and issues. They support business development efforts by assisting with proposal preparation. The primary focus of an Analyst is to gain a fundamental and foundational understanding of what it means to be a consultant at a services firm and particularly at The Clearing, including learning the methodologies, techniques, and tools that The Clearing uses and at the expected quality level.

Develop high-quality client-facing deliverables with established project quality standards, and Solution-based solutions/products, collaborating with other team members to finalize; demonstrate strong attention to detail and effective written communication skillsSupport the design, coordination, and logistics of external and internal meetings; apply active listening skills and own knowledge capture responsibility during meetings; occasionally co-facilitate meetingsSupport and/or lead research, data gathering, and analysis to inform the development of client recommendations and solutions; clearly synthesize and present resultsShowcase critical thinking skills to evaluate needs, make initial recommendations, and partner with team members to refine thinking and approaches to client challengesDemonstrate sensitivity to teammate and client strengths and weaknesses to create a sense of belonging and to value individual contributionsWhat You'll BringBachelor's degreeMinimum of one year of professional work experience, preferably in a professional servicesor client-facing environmentProficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, presentation creation tools, and internet research tools; familiarity with Google Suite is a plusWillingness and ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance and/or a positivesuitability determination by completing necessary background check investigations, to perform client workWillingness and ability to travel to client sites in the surrounding DC and Baltimore metro areas; occasional travel outside of these regions could be expected (5%)Critical thinking/problem-solving skills, attention to detail, organizational and time-management skills, and effective written and verbal communication skillsFlexible and adaptable mindset to operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-paced, high-stakes client environmentsDesired skills, experiences, and certifications: change management, strategic planning, strategic communication, program management, and/or organizational design experience; PMP and/or Change Management certification (ex. The projected salary range for this position is between $61,496.00 and $79,944.00 annually. Actual compensation and starting salaries are determined based on various factors, including the education, experience, knowledge, skills, certifications, and clearance level of the candidate and internal equity. Once at The Clearing, movement through pay bands is based on performance. Base-annual salary is just one component of The Clearing's total compensation philosophy and approach. Physical and Mental Requirements

While performing duties of this job, an employee may be required to perform any, or all of the following: Attend meetings in and out of the office, travel (sometimes extensively); Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand; Communicate effectively (both orally and in writing); Ability to effectively use computers and other electronic and standard office equipment; Occasionally exerting up to 10 pounds to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Work is primarily sedentary and involves sitting for several hours at a time. Occasionally walking, climbing stairs, and standing occur in this role. Additionally, this job requires certain mental demands, including the ability to use judgment, withstand moderate amounts of stress, and maintain attention to detail.
