Job Summary
We are looking for attentive, alert and self-motivated people to ensure the safety of all patrons present by enforcing facility regulations, monitoring activity, and rendering emergency care in the event that a patron suffers from an incident. You must be comfortable in water, high heat, sun exposure and performing tasks around the facility to help keep it clean and safe.
ResponsibilitiesAlways come to work in proper uniform and be ready to workSupervise the safety of all swimmers in the pool by always being rescue readyEnsure the pool and facility is clean at all timesEnforce the rules of the pool and the facilityReport any unsafe water of facility conditions to a supervisor immediatelyRecognize, react and respond to emergency situations according to your training and using the emergency action planPerform any tasks or duty assigned to you by a supervisor as scheduled and expectedParticipate in mandatory in-service training sessionsAssure the pool is ready and opened promptly when it is scheduled by arriving on timeRespond to members questions and requests within the rules of the facility and to strive to achieve customer satisfaction when possibleMaintain a healthy fitness level by swimming and working out on a regular basisKeep accurate records of the pool chemicals and users of the poolQualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
American Red Cross Lifeguard CertificationAn understanding and ability to follow rules, policies and proceduresAbility to demonstrate good decision-making skillsMust be friendly and outgoing with an ability to provide a high level of customer service
