The Senior Accountant will leverage technology to streamline processes, ensure compliance, and deliver accurate financial information. This individual will be a key partner to the Accounting and Branch Leadership.

This position is responsible for the preparation of financial reports, KPIs, financial analysis, budgets and forecasts for the various internal and external stakeholders. The Senior Accountant is responsible for handling all external information requests from auditors and other third parties in a timely and responsive manner. This position will assist in developing proper internal controls, processes and procedures needed to protect the Company's assets and insure accurate and timely financial information. The Senior Accountant will provide support to local and remote accounting staff.

Responsible for the day-to-day activities of general accounting, financial reporting, cost/project accounting, account analysis, recording of payroll and benefits, maintaining fixed asset records and bank reconciliationsAssist with financial auditsPrepare monthly balance sheet reconciliationsSupport ERP implementations for recently acquired companiesPrepare accurate and timely monthly financial statements compared to budget and prior yearAssist in the preparation of accurate and timely financial budgets and forecasts by working with all key stakeholders at branch, department and corporate management levelsPrepare and review monthly financial reports with key internal stakeholders at the regional, branch and department levelsProvides required financial analysis requested by internal stakeholdersPrepare weekly cash and other KPI reportsResponsible for month-end and year-end process and procedures which includes accruals, journal entries, commission calculations, revenue and expense review, bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliationsReview construction job budgets, analyze variances and report profitabilityHandle all information requests for all outside audits and other third parties in a timely and responsive mannerAssist in the development and establishment of the overall financial process flow, plans, internal controls, policies and procedures to protect the Company's assets and insure accurate and timely financial informationPerform all other duties as assigned.Ability to travel domestically up to 10%In-office position at the Schaumburg, IL HQ.Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in AccountingCPA, CMA, CFA, CGMA or actively pursuingA minimum of 2 years of progressive general ledger accounting experienceHigh proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systemsStrong knowledge of accounting principlesHigh attention to details and accuracyStrong time management and organizational skillsAbility to work independently and prioritize tasksAbility to communicate effectivelyPreferred Qualifications

Master's Degree in AccountingCPA licensePublic or corporate accounting experience.Construction accounting experience including percentage of completion

Compensation

$80,000 - $120,000

Physical Requirements
