An Accounting Services Intern at Calvetti Ferguson performs the duties of a staff accountant, such as completing reconciliations, making journal entries, researching account activity, and analyzing results. Our interns will work on recurring monthly clients, and also have the opportunity to participate in the onboarding of new clients as well as projects related to strategic initiatives for the department.
The goal of this internship is to expand the intern's understanding of business and accounting fundamentals while allowing the intern to work as part of a team of professionals. We are here to help you start your career in accounting with proper training, resources, and guidance along the way.
Responsibilities:
Month end close including reconciliations and reportingReviewing account activity to determine corrections neededSpecial projects for department initiatives related to automation and process implementationJob Requirements:
Education: working towards Bachelor's degree. CPA eligibility encouraged, but not required.A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2Strong attention to detail with the ability to think critically on application of accounting principles.Must be able to meet established deadlines, ensuring that work is complete and accurate.Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint at an intermediate level is required.Juniors and above are preferred.
