** Aircraft Painter- Decatur, TX****Job Category****:** Aviation Maintenance **Requisition Number****:** OAAIR013965 Showing 1 location **Job Details****Description**Job SummaryResponsible for priming and epoxy painting of aircraft, fabricated, production and/or aircraft parts to blueprint specifications, and/or customer paint schemes.Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following:Paint Aircraft and aircraft PartsPaint strip aircraft using chemical and mechanical methodsPriming and Epoxy Painting of aircraft, fabricated, production and/or aircraft parts to blueprint specifications and/or customer paint schemePreparing parts for painting process using body fillers, glazing putty, sanding, masking, cleaningCleaning of paint booth or related areas, changing booth filters, and maintaining a clean and safe work environmentAssist lead aircraft painter in paint scheme layoutAssist Lead Aircraft Painter in controlling paint and related consumables inventory and shelf lifeCommunication and coordination of projects with other departments, leads and supervisorsCoordinates with repair station inspectors for final inspection and sign-off of completed tasksReview completed work and ensure that the completed parts are protected from damageControl and management of essential documentation tasksMaintains proper operation and cleanliness of shop equipmentMaintains aircraft, work area and hangar cleanlinessAlodine aircraft , fabricated and/or machined partsMaintains and follows shop safety rulesOther Duties as assigned.Additional Job RequirementsRegular scheduled attendanceIndicate the percentage of time spent traveling: 0%Subject to applicable laws and Air Methods policies, regular attendance is an essential function of the position. Applies company policies and procedures to resolve routine issues.Can work independently; receive little instruction on day-to-day work.
