Description
SUMMARY The Die Cutter Operator is responsible for the set-up, adjustment and safe operation of all cutting equipment to prepare Hatteras products to be packed, collated, or bound, ensuring that all items produced meet customer specifications in accordance with company policies and procedures.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Carefully review job bags for specifications. Ensure accuracy with cutting by checking blueprints or previous printed samples (if reprint), and regularly pull sheets for quality control. Continually pull sheets to check accuracy of cutting. Ensure proper packaging of products before sending to final finishing or shipping. Preform various forms of maintenance on Cutter on a daily, weekly or monthly basis. Requirements
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Ability to read and understand written instructions including those dealing with dimensions and quantity. Ability to apply written instructions to machine set-up. Knowledge of stitchers and binding operations. Knowledge of the operation and function of the other bindery equipment and machinery. Good manual dexterity. Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time. Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
