Job DescriptionPosition Summary
This position requires a highly organized individual who possesses strong initiative and has the ability to complete
multiple projects in a deadline driven environment. This individual must be able to communicate effectively and
understands the need to work in an integrated manner with other members of the department in furtherance of goals,
objectives, and knowledge.
Job Essentials, Responsibilities, Duties
Review, oversee, and prepare complex income tax returns including, but not limited to, Corporations,Partnerships, and Individual returns.Responsible for the quality control review for all financial statements.Manage the facilitation, planning and compliance of international tax matters, including waivers and tax returns.Review and oversight over the required estimated tax payments.Creation, maintenance, and adherence to financial and tax reporting policies and procedures.Review and oversight of:Year-end shareholder bonus process.Tax preparation work papers and investment reconciliations.Calculation and distribution of W-2's and 1099's.Tax correspondence and facilitation and oversight of tax audits.Quarterly and annual payroll tax returns.Facilitate entity creation and dissolution procedures, including attainment of Articles of Incorporation,organizational documents, FEIN applications and 2553's.Train and develop Accounting and Business Management team(s) on best business practices related to Tax.File all annual reports, franchise tax returns, and other state returns.Prepare and review invoices for tax services performed.Supervise tax staff in the support and operations of their assigned business work team.Requirements
Qualifications
Ability to reliably commute to the office 5 days a weekBS in Business, specifically in Accounting, Finance, or Economics with strong academic record.MAcc or Master's in Taxation, preferred.Experience working in a business management firm or providing financial/tax services for HNWI.10-15+ years of experience in a Tax practice and 5+ years of supervisory experience.Active CPA License in CA or TN.
