experienced Registered Dental Assistant
to our established and patient-centric family practice. Our Dental Assistants work hard to support our dentists and apply the principles of trust, honesty, integrity, respect, and commitment. We nurture the growth of each individual on our team and foster a work environment where diversity is valued. The ideal dental assistant will be a team player with acute attention to detail who comes to work with a good attitude. This is a 3-day-per-week, part-time position. We seek someone with at least
2 years of chairside dental assisting
experience.
Responsibilities Include:
Welcome patients to the dental officePrepare patients for treatments or checkups ensuring their comfortSelect and set up instruments, equipment, and materials neededSterilize instruments according to regulationsAssist the dentist through 4-handed dentistryUndertake lab tasks as instructedProvide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructionsKeep the operatories clean and well-stockedSchedule appointmentsMaintain accurate patient records and assist with payment proceduresAssist with ordering dental supplies and keeping track of dental supply inventory.Requirements
2+ years of Dental Assisting experienceActive dental assistant license for the state of TexasCPR CertificationRadiology CertificationNitrous CertifiedKnowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methodsUnderstanding of health & safety regulationsAbility to perform regulated surgical and nonsurgical tasksStrong computer skills - Denticon experience is a plus!Excellent communication skillsAttention to detailWell-organized and reliableGraduation from an accredited dental assisting school
