Summary
CHS
has exciting summer internship opportunities on our
Accounting
teams. These positions will play an active role in the month-end accounting close and financial reporting process. The internship will provide work experience and mentoring from CHS professionals to prepare for a career in accounting, while being part of a broader early career networking and development cohort. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, prioritization and research skills. The candidate must be driven, adaptable, detail-oriented, with natural curiosity and a desire to learn.
The intern will support a corporate or business unit accounting team.
Responsibilities
Record journal entries in the general ledgerPerform monthly balance sheet account reconciliationsPrepare schedules in support of the 10-Q reported externally to the SECPerform ad hoc accounting tasks, analysis, and reportingParticipate in continuous improvement projectsGain exposure to CHS leadershipPresent key findings from your work to other early career associates and leaders in a capstone presentationMinimum Qualifications (required)
Actively pursuing a bachelor's degree in accounting or financeKnowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)Additional Qualifications
Previous work experienceAgriculture experience or understanding of Agriculture industryPrevious internship relating to finance, accounting or other Agriculture related internshipSAP experienceProficient in Microsoft ExcelPursuit of CPA certification
CHS offers a competitive total rewards package. Compensation includes base wage and, depending upon position, may include other earnings such as bonus, incentives and commissions.
