Portfolio Strategist

The Portfolio Solutions team at American Century Investments is seeking a Portfolio Strategist responsible for having an in-depth knowledge of the investment philosophy and process across our suite of offerings in the ETF/SMA category and play a lead role with clients and prospects to assist with portfolio analysis and attribution requests.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Identify and monitor key investment and industry trends, in partnership with investment teams and product teams, and develop investment-led insights and solutions for clients.Partner with sales, relationship managers, and other stakeholders to promote and support business growth.Travel as necessary to meet with clients, prospects, and attend/speak at industry events.Develop tools to support distribution with consistent investment messages. This includes a detailed understanding of current investment landscape, knowledge of portfolio holdings, risk attributes and performance attribution of the strategies.Communicate regularly with the internal investment teams to remain current on investment policy, strategy, process, risk considerations, portfolio characteristics, and results.Identify and monitor key investment and industry trends, in partnership with investment teams and product development, and develop investment-led insights and solutions for clients.Lead/Collaborate on key strategic business initiatives.Qualifications:BA/MA in Finance, Economics, or other related degrees.Certifications including, but not limited to, CFA and CAIA, or equivalent experience.Series 7 licensed required and/or willingness to acquire within 6 months on the job.Portfolio management skills preferredStrong ability to analyze and make informed investment decisions.Excellent verbal, presentation, written, and interpersonal communication skills.Ability to tailor messaging and presentations to various sophistication levels.Entrepreneurial thinking.Highly collaborative, competitive, and innovative.Courageous in providing feedback internally.Strong experience with ETFs/SMAs/UCITS.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Familiarity with data automation and AI.Ability to prioritize while being flexible to shift focus as needed.Some travel required.Exhibits the American Century Investments Winning Behaviors: Client Focused, Courageous and Accountable, Collaborative, Curious and Adaptable, Competitively Driven, Adheres to the highest ethical standards and business practices, and Supports a culture of compliance.Exhibits the American Century Investments Winning Behaviors: Client Focused, Courageous and Accountable, Collaborative, Curious and Adaptable, Competitively Driven, Adheres to the highest ethical standards and business practices, and Supports a culture of compliance.

For NY & California based candidates, the salary range for this role is $185K - $215K. Actual offers are based on various factors including but not limited to a candidate's location, skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training. This position is eligible for cash incentive providing the potential to earn more.
