Physical Therapist Assistant

Healthcare Recruiters is seeking an onsite PTA: Physical Therapy Assistant for our Sports Rehab clients 2 Outpatient locations: Gardena and Santa Fe Springs, CA.Full-time or Part-time options available. URGENT HIRE to start ASAP.This organization has been thriving since 1996 serving southern CA with 15 facilities. Using the most up to date equipment and methods they provide traditional and aquatic physical therapy and acupuncture treatment.Under the direction and supervision of physical therapist, the PTA will:Treat patients for various injuries by providing assigned exercises,massage, gait and balance training, as well as any other therapeutic interventions.Assist physical therapist in any form of treatment.Record patients progress and report results to physical therapist.Assists patients in using supportive devices such as crutches, canes, prostheses etc.Attends to patients during aquatic therapy.Education and Experience requirements:Associates degree in Physical TherapyCalifornia PTA licensure.Must pass a state-administered exam or National Physical TherapyExam (NPTE) administered by the Federation of State Board of Physical Therapy.At least one year of PT experience (may consider under one year).Aquatic PT experience is strongly preferred.Bilingual Spanish is strongly preferred.Must be able to commute between the Gardena and Santa Fe Springs locations as a float employee.Benefits:401KMedical and dental insurance2 weeks paid vacation, 6 days paid sick leave, 8 paid holidaysMileage reimbursement & Continued Education reimbursement
