Rowan is looking for a detailed-oriented and motivated

Staff Accountant

to join our growing finance team. Reporting directly to the Controller, the Staff Accountant will be responsible for preparing and maintaining financial records to track the organization's assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other related financial activities.

What you'll do:

Assist in maintaining the general ledger and preparing journal entries.Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger accounting and reconciliationsComplete and maintain bank reconciliations for all cash accounts.Review sales tax returns generated by our third party tax compliance softwareProvides outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit.Review coding of invoices, credit cards, and reimbursements for accuracy.Complete period-end closing procedures and reports as specified.Verify inventory costing is accurate, monthly counts are posted, and ending inventory balances are reconciled.Maintains knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures.Performs other accounting duties as assigned.Experience we're looking for:

Bachelors degree in Accounting, or related field, required.At least three years of related experience required.Proficient with Microsoft Excel and NetSuite or similar ERP software.General ledger maintenanceAccounts payable and receivable managementTax preparation and complianceCost accountingReconciliation of accountsCash managementInventory managementFixed asset accountingWhat you bring to the table:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to prioritize with excellent time management skillsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting.Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.Ability to correctly prepare tax reports.Full-Time Benefits +Perks:
