You will work as part of a team, maintaining a focus on safety, quality, and production.ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:Manufacturing Process: Operate and monitor manufacturing equipment to ensure proper spacing and piece size as defined by job travelers.ERP System: Use EPICOR ERP system to record and track material usage, processes, and machine requirements for each job.Quality Control: Review work products for quality during first-time final processes, ensuring they meet specifications and standards.Safety Compliance: Adhere to all Ohio Gratings safety policies and procedures.Cross-Training: Engage in cross-training in different areas within the organization to gain a deeper understanding of the Ohio Gratings product line and advance your career. This may include learning new skills such as welding or material handling if instructed by management.Blueprint Reading: Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to perform manufacturing tasks accurately.Physical Demands: Regularly lift up to 50-75 pounds, take stairs, stand for 8-10 hours, and work in various weather conditions.Work Environment: Stay alert and focused in a busy manufacturing area, maintaining cleanliness and organization in personal and shared workspaces.Communication: Effectively communicate with team members and supervisors, especially during shift changes.Reporting Issues: Recognize and immediately report any quality or safety issues to supervision.Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor and participate in ongoing training to enhance skills and knowledge.EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE, AND PROFICIENCIES:Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.Experience: Prior manufacturing experience in a steel or aluminum environment preferred (2+ years).Skills: Ability to safely operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and various hand and power tools. Proficiency in reading and understanding standard and metric measurements, as well as basic arithmetic operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50-75 pounds, take stairs, stand for extended periods (8-10 hours), and work in various weather conditions.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:While performing the duties of this job, the employee engages in repetitive movement tasks that require standing, walking, stooping, bending, reaching, grasping, pushing, and pulling grating material of various sizes and weights for long periods. The employee will regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 75 pounds. Proper lifting techniques should be used, and tasks may be performed with assistance from another employee or available lifting equipment.WORK ENVIRONMENT:The work environment involves regular exposure to noise, dust, heat, and cold. The employee will work on the production floor and is required to use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
