Our Front-End Developer will be responsible for developing and maintaining the front-end code for our various e-commerce platforms, their respective landing pages, and other customer-facing digital content, ensuring a seamless and engaging shopping experience for our customers that effectively brings the visual and interactive elements of our websites to life.Our ideal candidate has a strong background in front-end development, has a strong passion for the intersection of design and development, and is eager to contribute to creating exceptional online experiences.Job Duties & ResponsibilitiesCustom Front-end DevelopmentCreate custom front-end solutions using React.js, JavaScript, and other relevant frameworksDevelop reusable components and front-end libraries for future useWork closely with back-end/full-stack developers to integrate APIs and other servicesComfortable integrating with a variety of RESTful APIs, socket-based communications, and GraphQLWebsite Design and DevelopmentDesign and develop visually appealing and highly functional web applications focused on driving sales and enhancing user engagement using JavaScript (Node, React), HTML, and CSS with component libraries such as MUI or BootstrapExperience designing components in Figma or equivalent design tools.Convert designs into responsive, cross-browser compatible front-end interfacesCollaborate with UI/UX designers to create engaging features and servicesE-Commerce DevelopmentIntegrate essential e-commerce functionalities such as BigCommerce and StripeOptimize e-commerce platform for speed, customer experience, and sales conversionsManage e-commerce settings, product configuration, and navigationDesired Skillset:Bachelors degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, required5+ years of professional experience with front-end developmentStrong Proficiency in JavaScript and familiarity with modern JavaScript libraries and frameworks (e.g., React.js, Angular, Vue.js), and Express and SocketIoProficiency with Wix and can create and customize Wix templatesStrong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment with complete ownershipExperience with code quality, continuous delivery, and automated testing.Experience working with a hybrid workforceComfortable working in an agile environmentExperience building scalable, user-friendly web applicationsFamiliar with C# and capable of quickly learning backend frameworksIn accordance with applicable Federal and State laws, the anticipated annual salary range for this position based upon location in Rochester, NY, and experience is $90,000 - $110,000 annually.To comply with Federal law, WeTheHobby participates in E-Verify.
