Position Summary:
In the position of QC Tester, you will be responsible for conducting daily line audits, pulling in process and finished product samples, sugar truck samples, water and micro samples as needed.
Essential Job Functions
Works with QC Supervisor to follow quality guidelines, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)s, etc. Tests and inspects various stages of production processAssist in the remediation of all deviations, variance explanation. Records test data, applying statistical quality control procedures. Compiles and examines statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability.Operate with testing instruments (e.g. clean-in-place (CIP), Ultra-Performance Liquid Chromatography (UPLC), water testing). Oversee the calibration of equipment. Conduct sensory testing, taste, odor appearance vs control sample. Conduct testing on titrator, pH, dosing graduate cylinder mixingParticipates in technical reviews necessary to ensure good manufacturing practice (GMP) compliance, including; raw material and finished good specifications, label approval, master manufacturing records, etc.Recommends modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability.Position Requirements:
Prefer a Bachelor's Degree in the field of Engineering, Chemistry, Microbiology or other related technical field is preferred.Additional Experience Desired: Between 3-5 years of experience in a regulated industry preferably as a Quality Analyst or Technician for a food or dietary supplement manufacturerAdditional Experience Desired: Minimum 1 year of experience in line auditingComputer Skills Desired: Microsoft OfficePreferred Certifications: Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) certificationFood Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) certificationAdditional Knowledge or Skills to be Successful in this role: Other FDA regulated industry experience in a quality or regulatory departmentKnowledge of general statistics for manufacturing operations
Pay Range: $18.00/hr - $24.00/hr
