Outdoor Aquatic Center Season begins early-May to early-September
Indoor Pool is open all year long
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum age 15 years
American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification
JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for the daily duties of the aquatic center including but not limited to: safety of all those at the aquatic center, emergency response, customer service, facility upkeep and special events.
SUPERVISION:
The Lifeguards will report directly to the Pool Manager and Assistant Pool Managers.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Responsible, courteous, good communication skills, good work ethic and ability to work without close supervision. Must possess a sense of pride and accomplishment with one's work. Must have and maintain a valid American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification & be test ready at all times.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Surveillance of guest (guarding the water)
Able to recognize & responded to someone who needs helpAble to maintain focus for long periods of time
Water Safety Services
Help with teaching swim lessonsHelp with special events & groups
Facility Upkeep
Daily and continuous cleaning of facility & lock roomsDaily trash removalEnforce all rules and regulations with patrons
Communicate with other staff and customers in a courteous and professional mannerEnforce facility policies and proceduresComply with City of Troy and County regulations and policiesAny other related duties as assigned by supervisors
COMPENSATION:
Work hours are determined by pool operation hours
HOURS
Year Around-must be able to work a minimum of 8 hours per week.
Summer Seasonal-must be able to work a minimum of 15 hours per week.
STARTING SALARY:
$16 /HR
