About the Team:
Obsidian Security is looking for a talented Senior Accountant to join our growing Finance and Accounting team. This role will be reporting to the Director of Accounting.
About the Role:Manage month-end accounting processes, including preparing journal entries, conducting flux analysis, financial statements and performing account reconciliationsProcess General Ledger accounting tasks, including cash, investments, prepaids, deposits, fixed assets, accruals, stock option accountingHandle Accounts Payable (AP) and/or Accounts Receivable (AR) transactions, including invoice processing, cash application and recording credit card transactionsReconcile sales tax accounts in Anrok and ensure current state registrations are maintainedCalculate and record account allocations, deferred commissions and bonus accrualsProvide direct support for annual audits, tax return preparation (PBCs), system implementations and other projects as requiredDevelop and maintain thorough supporting documentation and internal controlsManage lease accounting in compliance with ASC 842 standardsAbout You:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field5+ years of accounting experienceCPA certification is a plusPrior start up experience preferredIn-depth knowledge of US GAAPAdvanced proficiency of Excel and Google Sheets, including vlookups, xlookups, pivot tables and complex formulasExperience with Sage Intacct and/or Netsuite preferredCapable of adapting to various roles in a dynamic startup or growing company environmentProactive and hands-on, with a strong problem-solving attitudeHighly organized with a keen attention to detailEmployee Benefits:
