This role is based in Palo Alto, CA.
As a Front-end Engineer, you are a systems engineer specializing in user interface design and implementation. You'll contribute to critical decisions about product, design, and backend integration. Currently we are focused primarily on Integrated Development Environments (IDEs) like VS-Code and the JetBrains family of products.
Responsibilities
Work closely with design staff, AI researchers, and members of the systems team to design, build, and iterate on AI for Code ClientDesign and build user interfaces, beginning with IDE extensions and pluginsCollaborate with systems engineering team to define and build the frontend-backend integrationCollaborate with a team of AI Researchers and Systems Engineers to craft the technical direction of the system, including choosing preferred approaches for creating initial AI models and determining the next programming assistance tasks to be solved by systemTech stack
Node.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Kotlin, Java
Candidate requirements
Experienced with front end development:Node.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Kotlin and Java or similarShipped UI/UX workflows, preferably for devtoolsDeep understanding of the developer experience and ability to work with key stakeholders including users, designers, AI researchers, and systems engineers5+ years of experience in software development
The salary range is $225,000 - $300,000
