Position Job Duties:Work within the Quality Control team, including Quality Engineers, Inspection Techs and Production group. Provide support following priority, scheduling and delegated work assignments. Responsible for interpreting and understanding customer or generated drawings, while inspecting work in process and/or final release, using customer or industry related criteria.Responsible for providing on-going feedback to Quality Management in pursuit of continuous product/process improvement.Monitor and enforce work instructions that support quality policies and procedures.Support in the creation of Quality Plans and related documentation specific to individual job requirements.Review inspection reports and initiate corrective actions when required.Interact with all departments concerning Manufacturing, Customer and Supplier quality issues. Participate in daily production meetings when required.Interface with Purchasing on Supplier management in conducting audits, recall analysis, corrective actions and potential new Supplier reviews when requested.Review and schedule appropriate inspection coverage to coincide with the Manufacturing production schedule, after approval from the authoritative body.Knowledge of Advanced Quality Planning and Product Part Approval Processes.Provide quality tracking methods and data in support of overall business objectives.Requires accuracy and attention to detail, with ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Strong verbal and written communication skills with an understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance. (GD&T).Deep understanding of metric/standard conversion requirements.Ability to accurately perform inspections using, but not limited to the following tools; dial bore gages, ID/OD micrometers, thread plug gages and protractors.Understanding of AWS Code Standards as well as Customer specific welding standards.Ability to accurately perform weld/structural check inspections using, but not limited to the following tools; weld fillet gages, V-wac gage, ID/OD micrometers, butt weld gage, tape measure and protractors.Some overtime and ability to travel up to 25% (domestic only) may be required.

Education Requirements:

Min High School Diploma/GED; and Relevant/Related "recent" work experience; Some technical training preferred.
