The Assistant Managers of the department via the sections chain of command supervises all personnel. Security guard employee will perform duties assigned as related to the event in regards to the overall security, safety of the employees, guests and clients.This role will pay an hourly wage between $13 - $14.Benefits for PT roles: 401(k) savings plan and 401(k) matching.EVERGREEN ROLE: Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis; there is no application deadlineResponsibilities:Employee is assigned to the Security Department and reports to part-time Event Security supervisors who report to the Assistant ManagersThe Assistant Managers of the department via the sections chain of command supervises all personnelSecurity guard employee will perform duties assigned as related to the event in regards to the overall security, safety of the employees, guests and clientsProvides guest assistance during the eventMonitors perimeter doors to ensure no unauthorized access is gained to the eventMonitors guests during ingress/egress for disruptive or inappropriate actionsMonitors credentials of all personnel entering the backstage and other restricted areasMonitors and maintains a clear and safe passage route in and around floor level accessible seating area(s)Maintains aisles and insures guests are in their proper seat locationsAssists guests in the event of an emergency evacuationOperates walk through and/or hand held metal detector unitsPerforms other duties as required by their SupervisorPrepares appropriate reports and forms as required by department policyEnsures that housekeeping, safety, alcohol control and security issues comply with department policiesPerforms special projects as needed or requestedQualifications:
Must have a general knowledge of the security industry, specifically in the crowd management areas of public eventsMust be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writingHigh School Diploma or equivalentMust have strong interpersonal and problem-solving skillsMust demonstrate the ability to work well under stress and exercise good judgment, diplomacy, courtesy and tact under all circumstancesMust be willing to work flexible hours, nights, weekends and holidays when requiredMust be willing to rotate to various positions within a shift as neededRequires a full range of body motions including vision and hearing in a normal rangeJob requires frequent standing, climbing, walking, reaching, handling, speaking, hearing and visually checking security work assignments in progress and those that have been completedFrequently works under stressful working conditions, irregular hours and tight time deadlinesMust be able to lift, pull or move crowd control barricadesWeight varies from 25 75 lbsMust be able to work in and around loud noisesMust be comfortable in working with large crowds of people
