The Batch Mixer / Machine Operator's primary function is processing or blending Woodland Foods products in accordance with our quality and food safety standards.

Essential duties and responsibilities

Report all production activities for each production run into EC or M3Weigh ingredients according to batch sheets and add to mixersReport all production activities for each production run into EC or M3Mix batches according to mixing instructionsTrain LOTO procedureAdhere to production schedule and call out inefficient runs to support improvement plan.Set up and operate cutting or grinding equipment to reduce the particle size of ingredientsComplete all required HACCP and quality paperwork on a daily basisOrder products and packaging from material handlers to the work area prior to each production runEnsure the work area starts on time on a daily basisPerform routine adjustments and troubleshoot equipment as needed during production runsEnsure all products made are of acceptable qualityMaintain an organized and clean work area at all timesPerform all other duties as assignedComplete win-the-day boards report any inefficienciesConduct shift handoff with incoming shiftQualifications/Requirements

Bilingual English/Spanish preferredHigh School diploma or GED preferredExperience with blending or processing equipment preferredMust have a working knowledge of general warehouse operations; food industry experience a plusMust be flexible with hours, possibility for OTAbility to lift 55lbs. and team lift anything over 55lbs.Must follow all WG GMPs and work consistently with all food safety, quality, and sanitation requirementsSkills/Abilities

Must have computer skillsAbility to read and write EnglishMust be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimalsAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural documentsUnderstand the basics of scale operations, weights, and measurementsDemonstrate good leadership skillsGood verbal and written communicationFlexibility to adapt to different production linesAbility to multi-task and prioritizeStrong attention to detailStrong organizational skillsPhysical Demands
