The Treasury Management Officer (TMO) is responsible for cultivating and managing their own portfolio of relationships centered on deposit services. This role involves providing dedicated support to the Bank's high-level clients utilizing cash management solutions. Drawing on a deep understanding of banking products and adept sales skills, the TMO crafts customized proposals that align with client requirements and financial frameworks.

The TMO supports Relationship Managers (RMs) in enhancing their understanding and proficiency in deposits, treasury and cash management products. This involves delivering outstanding customer service, fostering strong ties with existing clients, recognizing opportunities for cross-selling, and offering subject-matter expertise in the field.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Performs the tasks assigned in line with the Bank's mission, vision and core values.Creates and implements plans and strategies with Chief Commercial Banking Officer to ensure the team meets its objectives for deposit growth, cash management-related fee income, and a high level of customer satisfaction.Proactively seeks out new business opportunities with high-value deposit-centric commercial clients.Works independently and takes the lead on the client team for more complicated treasury clients and prospects in the relationship manager and division portfolio to deliver services relating to receipts, payments, information/control, and liquidity.Assists and oversees pricing negotiations for cash management services.Takes the lead on setting up and implementing treasury management services for your portfolio of clients, either by phone, in person, or at your client's place of business.Helps RMs identify, analyze and assess opportunities for potential treasury management services/solutions.Demonstrates strong business acumen and strategic insight with proven ability to maintain composure when confronted with difficult situations/clients, while providing information, data, advice and solutions to establish trust and respect.Coaches RMs on outside calls and in-person conversations for more complex scenarios.Informs and instructs clients about the dangers and needs of treasury management services.Directs client evaluations of treasury management services; conduct on-site evaluations.Maintains up-to-date and thorough knowledge of market trends in deposit and cash management, as well as applicable federal and state regulatory and compliance requirements.Meets or exceed assigned sales goals.Provides exceptional customer service to current and prospective clients.Completes all internal Bank training as assigned and required.Adheres to the Bank's privacy and data security policies including but not limited to safeguarding of sensitive information and complying with relevant regulations to protect non-public information.Exhibits the ability and desire to embrace and enhance the Bank culture.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Prior supervisory responsibilities preferred. This role will serve as a Player/Coach to help guide a team of Relationship Managers. This will include managing objectives and goals for team members.

Requirements

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field, or a minimum of five years of equivalent job experience in bank sales and relationship management.Practical understanding of the deposit and treasury products and services used most frequently.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills necessary for success in a business-to-business sales setting.A proven understanding of deposit and treasury policies.Certification as a Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) preferred.Ability to manage time, solve problems and oversee projects.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such procedure manuals, contracts, and reports. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
