Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Cath Lab RN - Cardiac Cath Lab Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 10-hour days with call Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years License: WA License Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - ACLS/code experience - Interventional Radiology (IR) experience - Strong preference for prep/recovery skills Job Description: - Work in a unit with 2 labs and 1 prep/recovery area, handling an average of 4-5 cases per room per day - Sedate and monitor patients; RNs do not scrub currently - Handle common diagnoses such as CAD and STEMIs, as well as various IR cases including embolization, Inari, Ekos, vascular angiograms/angioplasties - Utilize EPIC for charting; experience with balloon pumps is essential, though Impella is not used - Participate in staff self-scheduling with four 10-hour shifts per week - Typically have 2 weekday on-call assignments per week, and 1-2 weekend on-call assignments per month - Required to float between units; IR skills are necessary - Scrubs are provided for staff - Approximately 1-2 weeks of unit-specific orientation provided - Mandatory COVID vaccine required This role offers a dynamic environment requiring flexibility in daily tasks and schedules, with a strong emphasis on patient care and monitoring in a specialized cardiac cath lab setting.
