Responsibilities and Duties:Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing procedures, including the preparation and validation of journal entries, supporting backup and account reconciliations.Perform flux analysis for balance sheet and income statement, investigate questions and provide assistant controllers detailed explanations.Oversee and execute completion of all close processes timely and ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP, and company policy and procedures.Take ownership of general ledger operations and processes related to Assets, Recurring Liabilities, and Equity & Complex Accounts.Perform analysis and provide insight into account balance details and drivers of changeAct as the strategic partner to finance leadership in driving & streamlining process improvements within expenses close process.Collaborate with legal, FP&A, Global commissions, Procurement, Account Payable, professional services, and Tax to ensure expenses are recognized in accordance with US GAAP and internal policies.Manage analysis and recording of accruals from open purchase order report and information gathered from business partnersWork closely with the Company's external auditors on related controls and manage annual audit requirements.Manage, mentor, and develop staff membersConduct ad-hoc analysis and tasks as requestedHandle special projects related to technology, systems, automation, new initiatives, or other requestsCreate Alteryx workflows to automate processes with systems implementation.Skills/Competencies:
Ability to work in fast-paced and dynamic environmentExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial information to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.Possess agility and ability to prioritizeCollaborative with others at all levels within and outside FinanceAbility to work independently without a lot of guidanceStrong organization skills and attention to detailResults-orientedAnalytical and problem-solving skillsExperience with developing, implementing, and executing effective internal controlsStrong computer skills, including proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, lookups, etc.)Supervise and support a team of accountants, including the review of journal entries and reconciliationsContinuous improvement mindset with a proven ability to implement process improvements.Experience with NetSuite's Inventory Management module.Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal controlsExperience in working with multiple legal entities globallyQualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA strongly preferredPrevious experience in Big 4 accounting is a plus.5+ years of work experience in an accounting roleTeam player with a strong work ethicInventory accounting experience requiredStrong financial and analytical skills including substantial experience with accounting principles and financial statement analysis.Experience working with NetSuite preferred.
