MDD is looking for an Accounting Intern to serve as an essential supporting function of the accounting team in our Parsippany office. The ideal candidate will have a sound technical background in accounting / finance, possess strong communication and analytical skills, and can work independently. This internship position may lead to a full-time position in the future.
Key Responsibilities
Review reports and schedulesParticipate in strategic planning sessions with accounting teamInput data and analyze invoicesPerform forensic research to trace funds and identify assets for recoveryVerify claim to source documentsEvaluate insurance claims and economic damageWork closely with senior staff on litigation cases, first party property, business valuationsAssist in the preparation of accounting reports from financial findingsResearch and other tasks assigned by supervisorQualifications
Actively pursuing or holds bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; Senior Year or higher (90 credits +)Prior internship experience preferredMust have a valid driver's license and reliable transportationMust have demonstrated ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environmentPossess a professional demeanor and be a positive thinkerMust be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
