Teamwork, ability to multi-task, and strong communication skills required in this role.Under supervision, the Telehealth Specialist 1 is responsible for providing non-clinical support and service to telehealth programs, physicians, clinical staff, patients and units and programs throughout the region.
Night Schedule
Transfer Center is the logistical hub of patient movement into and within the SLHS. The THS role is a dual role within the SLHS Transfer Center (TC). In the Patient Placement (PPO) role the THS partners with internal stakeholders to place patients quickly to the appropriate care area at our four main campuses. The THS utilizes the bed board in Epic to place patients in their assigned beds and communicates with stakeholders typically via text. When taking TC calls, the THS connects referring and receiving providers to move patients into and within the SLHS efficiently and safely. There is no patient interaction in the TC; however, this role has huge impact on patient outcomes. There are RNs within the TC to help triage and complete complex calls.Under supervision, performs professional level support activities in one or more functional areas within an assigned department/unit. Uses established procedures to perform assigned tasks.Through documentation and oral communication, essential information is shared with health care team members and others throughout the organization and region.Prepares, compiles and maintains technical and operational records for all telehealth programs.Maintains inventory and order supplies as necessary.Assists in gathering patient information between Telehealth services and units/programs both internal and external to the organization.Organizes the flow of information to maximize timely feedback including the management of high volumes of telephone call and electronic messages.Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
