What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be...

Provides relevant quality dataProvides basic analysis of data and writes summaries to validate or show deviations from existing standardsMay recommend modifications to existing, or suggests new standards, methods and proceduresPerforms work under direct supervisionHandles basic issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staffPossesses beginning to basic knowledge of subject matterUtilizes basic tools (such as calipers, micrometers, rulers, etc) in daily tasksOther duties, as assignedPerforms basic QC Tasks

Product, process and Quality Management System auditsProcesses reject material from production (scrap bins) in Master ControlInspects products to insure conformance to established quality standardsInitiates nonconformance reportsInitiates revisions for Quality Management System documentationConducts sample receiving inspections on purchased partsGather gas samples in support of product gas analysisOR Performs Mechanical Testing:

Prepares samples for mechanical testingPerforms tensile strength and impact testingConducts base metal and bend testAssists welder qualifications by conducting above mentioned tests as requiredYour Education Should Be...

High school diploma or GEDYour Physical Work Environment Will Require...

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk and sit. Frequently uses hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls and reach with hands and arms. Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color evaluations and the ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. Moderate to loud noise level in the work environment

Your Professional Experience Should Be...

Required

For internal candidates only: 2 years of experience working at Chart1 + years of quality technician experience or minimum of 2 years manufacturing experienceExperience reading and interpreting blueprints and work ordersBasic math skills (weight measurement, volume, distance, multiplication and division)Attention to detail essentialBasic computer skillsStrong time management skillsProven ability to identify, reason and problem solve minor non-conformities and deviationsOvertime and weekend hours, as neededPreferred

General knowledge of ISO proceduresKnowledge or experience working with Chart productsWelding experience, a plus
