This role is a hybrid role reporting to our Draper, UT location when required.

YOU ARE:
A highly motivated accounting leader with extensive experience understanding and applying accounting principles, experience leading and managing successful teams, exceptional interpersonal & communications skills, and a strong sense of ownership and pride over your area of responsibility.
YOUR DAY-TO-DAY:
Lead a team of 1-2 professionalsMentor and develop teams that oversee loan-related activity, including accruals and estimates, related to our subsidiary companiesLead the month-end close process for GL activity for your team in accordance with internal deadlinesReview and post accounting entries prepared by team membersOversee account analysis and reconciliation of balances and entriesPlan, direct and coordinate special analysis projectsAssist with the implementation of a new ERP (Workday)Adhere to SOX controls and complianceEvaluate current accounting procedures for continuous process improvement opportunities and lead the implementation of agreed-upon improvementsServe as the key contact to external auditors for requests and audit procedures related to your areas of responsibilityLead certain ad-hoc projects related to potential acquisitions, such as integration of accounting ledgersAssist FP&A with the forecasting of certain Progressive Leasing and subsidiaries financial metricsAssist with the accounting close and reporting of other PROG Holdings businesses, as neededYOU'LL BRING:
Master's degree in Accounting and CPA preferredGAAP expertise and prior demonstrated ability to conduct research when required5+ years' experience in a relevant accounting role, including public accountingExcellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively present informationStrong organizational and time management skillsExperience managing and leading teams in a fast-paced environmentAbility to manage the team's monthly close procedures within tight internal deadlinesAbility to understand complex accounting concepts and effectively educate team membersAbility to effectively communicate accounting topics to Company executivesExperience with SQL and Workday systems preferredHighly proficient in Excel with experience using advanced functions, Power Query, dynamic arrays, PivotTables, etc.Strong work ethic, schedule flexibility and availability, and adaptabilityAbility to efficiently manage several tasks and competing prioritiesA solid relationship builder, attention to detail, and ability to follow processesAptitude to understand data flows and related accounting/financial statement implicationsAbility to identify issues, conduct research, analyze data and propose solutionsTech savvy with strong problem-solving analytics and cross-functional collaborative skillsWE OFFER:
