Council on Aging of Southwestern Ohio (COA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing quality of life for older adults, people with disabilities, their families and caregivers. We promote choice, independence, dignity and well-being through a range of services that help people remain in their homes for as long as possible.
COA is a state-designated Area Agency on Aging, serving a 5 county region. One call to COA links people to the wide variety of agencies, information and programs that serve older adults and people with disabilities.
COA has more than 300 employees, close to 300 contracted providers, and an annual budget of $115 million.

Position Description
:
Responsible for the coordination of all projection monitoring, analyzing and reporting.
Essential Job Functions:
Preparation of Projections
Update the monthly variance reports with comments from department managers. Highlight any concerns in terms of budget variances; provides information to department managers to help them understand their expensesGenerate monthly projections, using data gathered from program managers, or estimates where data is not available. Create monthly reports by program, and agency wide for distribution to senior leadership teamFinancial Planning and Budgeting Functions:
Participate in the budgeting process, including data collection, data entry, budget specific calculations, budget review and changes, and compilation of budget books.Ensures compliance with operating budget by monitoring the annual operating budget and providing monthly projections for departments/agency.Program Budget Monitoring:
Track and monitor program spending for those programs where we need to keep to an awarded amount (Passport, Title III, any additional federal funding).Produce and present monthly and/or quarterly reports for projected outcomes.Qualification Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Business, preferrable with a concentration in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Analytics, or related quantitative field.Minimum of four years of experience working with budgets and/or projections, preferably in a non-profit or governmental organization.Experienced in working with large amounts of financial and operational data: collection, analysis and reportingAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel: advanced formulas, pivot tables, tables and queries, Word and PowerPoint.Must have excellent analytical, communication, organizational skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly to various audiences.
