Zurich North America's Bachelor's Apprentice Program

Zurich is accepting resumes for our 2025 Bachelor Apprenticeship Program! The program is scheduled to start in January 2025, but please apply now for consideration.

Our pilot innovative Crop Underwriting Operations Apprenticeship Program allows participants to simultaneously gain the education and the experience to launch a rewarding career in crop insurance.

Zurich's initiative is to develop a new generation of workers to help the U.S. succeed in the 21st century economy.

This two-year program combines targeted

online

coursework at University of Arizona Global Campus with relevant work rotations at Zurich/RCIS Sioux Falls, SD, Fresno, CA, Anoka, MN, or Winston Salem, NC offices.

In our local office you will be working on the Crop Underwriting Operations Team:

With supervision candidates will work within our crop underwriting team at an accelerated rate to learn more about the crop policy life cycle, program administration and policy issuance.

Responsibilities can include:Reviewing customer applications, production reports and acreage reports.Shadowing Underwriters to complete underwriting reviews.Communication with internal and external customers via email.Processing policy documents and policy changes.Apprentices who successfully complete this two-year program will:

Work in a paid, benefit-eligible full-time position at ZurichEarn a tuition-free Bachelor's degree in Business AdministrationReceive a Department of Labor Certificate of ApprenticeshipPossess credentials and skills for today's ever-changing marketplaceBasic Qualifications:

Associate Degree in Business or rising Junior with two years of coursework in Business and no prior years of experience in the Insurance area.

Contingent on admittance into University of Arizona Global Campus Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration program.Preferred Qualifications:

Strong verbal and written communication skillsInterest in the insurance industryExperience in the agriculture industry2 or more years of work experience and/or leadership role in student activities or community service activitiesIntermediate computer skills, especially ExcelSelf-motivated and able to work independentlyAbility to multitask and adapt to a changing environmentCritical thinking skills

Compensation for roles at Zurich varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Zurich provides in good faith a reasonable range of compensation for roles. For additional information about our Total Rewards, Click here. Other rewards may include short term incentive bonuses and merit increases.

Candidates with salary expectations outside of the range are encouraged to apply, and will be considered based on experience, skill, and education.

The salary provided is a nationwide market range and has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location where the position may be filled. The starting salary range for this position is $55,000.00 -$57,000.00.
